String Formation

Give each team a 2 metre long piece of string with both ends knotted together. Ask the teams to find a space in the room. Each member of the team must keep both hands on the string at all times. Direct each team to: make any 2D shape – square/triangle/oblong/pentagon/star, make a 3D shape, translate key concepts/words into string formation e.g types of settlement / solids, gases and liquids. Then get the team to put the formations into a movement sequence. Hey Presto! – A novel way to reinforce learning.
